My name is Sheldon Holsapple, and if there’s one thing about me you should know, it’s that I’ve always had the urge to travel.
Sometimes that means planning trips months in advance. Other times it means packing a bag for a last-minute adventure just to see somewhere new. Either way, exploring new places has always been something that keeps me curious about the world.
Over the years I realized would ask others if they want to travel. The conclusion became many people want to travel, but they think they can’t.
Usually the reason I hear is simple — travel is too expensive.
That’s exactly why I created It’s Turtle Time.
Why I Started This Blog
During the past several years I have been working toward my college degrees while still trying to travel whenever I could.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2021, and later earned my Master of Business Administration in 2024. Balancing school, work, and travel wasn’t always easy, but it proved something important to me:
Travel doesn’t have to wait until “someday.”
You don’t have to be retired, wealthy, or have unlimited time off to see new places. With the right planning, a little creativity, and the willingness to explore, travel can be possible even during busy stages of life.
That idea became the heart of this website and is where I came up with “It’s Always Time To Explore”
Where The Waves Have Taken Me
Over the years my travels have taken me across a variety of destinations in the United States and beyond. From road trips through cities like Memphis, Atlanta, and Dallas to international travel in the Netherlands and Japan, each trip has added another story and perspective to the way I see the world.
While some trips are carefully planned and others are last-minute adventures, every journey has helped shape the experiences and lessons shared here on It’s Turtle Time.
The Best part about this, many of these trips were taken while I was in college. Many of these are documented in this blog in Adventures

This site was created for travelers who:

Here you’ll find things like:

Not every trip goes perfectly, and that’s part of the adventure. The goal here is to share the real experiences, the fun moments, and even the occasional travel mishaps.
Why “It’s Turtle Time?”
Travel should never be rushed.
The best way to experience the world is to slow down, enjoy the moment, and appreciate the journey — just like a turtle migrating across the ocean.
